Trauma is perhaps the most avoided, ignored, belittled, denied, misunderstood and untreated cause of human suffering.

Anxiety counselling

‘You are absolutely brilliant at what you do. Intuitive, empathic, kind, and bombproof. No wonder you make people feel valued and safe’.

Sarah

I’m a person-centred and transpersonal counsellor with over fourteen years’ experience, and am particularly skilled and trained in working with trauma. If you feel you might like to work with me in the first instance we’d arrange an initial free half hour introductory session for you to tell me a bit about yourself and find out if we feel a good fit to work together; I offer this in person in my beautiful light-filled Georgian practice room in Glastonbury or online by Zoom. The number one most important factor for a successful outcome in therapy is your relationship with your therapist; it’s essential that you feel safe and comfortable, so do feel free to try out different counsellors before making a decision.

If we decide to work together we’d then find a mutually convenient time to meet weekly for a fifty minute session, in person or by Zoom. I work online on a Tuesday and in person in Glastonbury Wednesday to Friday, and my regular fee is £60, though concessions are available if this is out of reach for you. Non-attendance or late notice cancellations of less than 48 hours are still payable for as it’s hard for me to fill the session, though I will always endeavour to if I can, and also to offer you an alternative appointment if you’ve had to cancel for reasons beyond your control.

"It’s like a movie. I can’t believe somebody that has experienced that much trauma, over that length of time, could be this healed." Grace

"It saved me. I was in a terrible place when it started, I am now functioning again, working, and not living in fear. Julie was a brilliant, kind, compassionate counsellor. I found her to be centred, grounded, gentle and caring, and have recommended her to family and friends." KK

"Thank you for all the time, effort, understanding and love you have given me. I love you to bits and will miss you, but will always be thinking about you. You are my angel and my rock." SS

"Thank you very much Julie. You have been a great help in allowing me to see myself not quite as I thought I was, but as my beautiful, vulnerable self. Thanks and take care on your journey." MR
